Jarvis YouTube Connection

About Jarvis Channel Connection

Jarvis Channel Connection is the private YouTube connection for Jarvis, provided by House of NIVREK. It uses YouTube API Services to let the authorized Jarvis owner select their YouTube channel and view recent uploaded videos with titles, thumbnails and dates, and open eligible videos in an on-demand YouTube player. Private or restricted videos can be opened on YouTube instead.

The initial connection is read-only and requests youtube.readonly. Jarvis displays the selected channel and up to ten recent video cards. Eligible videos can be played through YouTube's embedded player or opened on YouTube. Jarvis does not download audiovisual files, upload new videos, post comments or change videos through this read-only connection.

Automated retention cleanup is configured. A connection expires after 28 days without a successful channel read; its stored data is removed by cleanup and a fresh connection is needed. The YouTube setup requires its own Google app/project, separate from Jarvis Cloud Email.

An optional, separately authorized feature can review and change the visibility of an existing video owned by the selected channel. That feature needs youtube.readonly together with youtube.force-ssl. Google describes the latter permission more broadly than the visibility control Jarvis implements. Jarvis must show the exact channel, existing video and change to public, unlisted or private before the owner approves that action. This optional feature is not enabled by the initial read-only setup.

Google authorization is stored encrypted in private cloud storage so an accepted connection can be used from signed-in Jarvis devices. You can disconnect the selected channel in Jarvis to delete its saved authorization, channel data and related action records. Jarvis also attempts to revoke that authorization at Google and reports whether Google confirmed the request. YouTube responses are not automatically added to Jarvis conversations or memory, or supplied to AI features. Jarvis's separate AI features use content the owner provides.

This public page does not connect a channel, grant access or authorize actions. Other social services have separate setup and authorization; a YouTube connection does not connect them.
